Founded by brothers Shannon and Connor Elliffe, LFBC is a building company with a big heart.

With highly-skilled trades professionals and a creative approach to every project, we deliver quality solutions and expert finishes, helping you realise your home’s potential.

We’re proud to live and work in the Illawarra and surrounding areas, and our team members volunteer with the SES, just one of the ways we like to give back to our local community.

We’re also actively involved in the local disability sector. Shannon and Connor’s sister Tara has Down syndrome, so they understand the daily realities of living with altered abilities.

LFBC have recently become registered as NDIS providers, meaning we can help with tailored home modifications to improve accessibility and functionality.

Here’s Shannon Elliffe, sharing more of his story:

LFBC HOME MODIFICATIONS is an Illawarra based building company that has recently registered with the NDIS to provide people with the choice to make their life easier and more comfortable.

My sister Tara lives with Down Syndrome and watching her become independent and grow has inspired me to help other people have the choice to make their own decisions in life.

Through my sister, I have volunteered with multiple Down Syndrome organisations in different States. I have organised a trip with my sister and 12 of her friends to Africa to attend The World Down Syndrome Conference. That was a life-changing event for me and the group.

Being in building and construction has given me the opportunity to design and build a sensory room for FRANS, a service provider my sister attended.

I was also involved in the construction of an accessible camp in 1770, QLD.

While living in the Northern Territory I also volunteered with a ‘cash for cans’ work group run by Down Syndrome NT.

Since living in the Illawarra I have dedicated my spare time to DAPTO SES, where I am a storm operator, attending storm-damaged housing and providing assistance.

My brother Connor has been volunteered with The Down Syndrome Association for many years and also with The Up Club, a social group that our sister attends. Connor has spent nearly a decade of his career building nursing homes in Sydney and regional NSW and as such, has a deep knowledge of the accessible building codes and standards. Connor is also an active member of the Army Reserve and deployed to the South Coast during the 2019/20 bushfire season.

My brother Connor and I started LF Building and Construction three years ago as a family-friendly company that let us spend more time living and working in our community. We believe that we can assist people with altered ability to make their own choices and make our community stronger and a better place for everyone to live in.
